Interview Process 


面試前的準(zhǔn)備—閱讀簡歷
Before an interview—Screening Resume
了解應(yīng)聘者的意向,比如想要找全職還是兼職,學(xué)校還是一對一外教;

Find the candidate’s intention. Does she want a full-time or part-time job, tutoring or teaching?


了解應(yīng)聘者的資歷,可根據(jù)其國籍、教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)等;
Estimate the candidate’s value, mainly depending on nationality and teaching experience.   
找出需要在面試中詢問的問題。
Made the questions to be asked during the interview. 
 
注意 Note : 
在閱讀完簡歷之后,要給出應(yīng)聘者一個大致的定位。
After reading the resume, the interview should get a general evaluation to the candidate. 
 
 
第一部分 寒暄
Part One Greetings
在自我介紹之后可以聊一些輕松的話題,例如:來中國多少時間了?在中國呆的還開心嗎?
This part is mainly to warm up. Following the self-introduction can be a small relaxing talk. 
 
注意 Note :
時間不必太長,1-2分鐘即可。
It should not take too long. Around 1-2 minutes is suitable.
 
 
  
第二部分 了解目前的工作狀態(tài)
Part Two What do you do now?
這一部分主要是為了考察其穩(wěn)定性,以及對這份工作的態(tài)度和目的,可結(jié)合申請表上填寫的內(nèi)容詢問。
This part is mainly to examine the candidate’s stability, and also its attitude and purpose for this job.  
為什么來到中國?
Why do you come to China?
目前是否有全職工作?
What do you do now?
如果沒有,是否在尋找全職工作?
未來的打算是怎樣的?
Do you have any plan in the future?
 
注意 Note :
了解完之后,要自然過渡到第三部分問話。
Move to the third part in a natural way.
 
 
第三部分 了解教學(xué)
Part Three  About Teaching
這一部分可結(jié)合簡歷以及申請表中有關(guān)教學(xué)的部分來問答。
對于有教學(xué)經(jīng)歷的外教,主要集中于以下幾個問題:
For the experienced teacher, we can use the following questions:
在某某學(xué)校工作的開心嗎?
Did you have a great time at….?
教的是幾歲的學(xué)生?教的是什么課程?
Which age group have you taught? What courses have you taught? 
學(xué)員存在的問題在哪里?針對出現(xiàn)的這些問題,你有什么好的教學(xué)方法?
What problems do the students have in the English learning? Do you have any good idea to help them solve these problems?  
從教學(xué)當(dāng)中體會到的成就感在哪里?在教學(xué)中遇到的困難有哪些?
Are you pride of your teaching? Did you meet any difficulties hard to deal with?   
有沒有好的教學(xué)材料?會不會提前備課?
Do you have any good teaching materials for …? Do you often make well preparations before class.?
目前自己比較傾向于教哪類學(xué)生?
What kind of students do you prefer to teach now?
 
注意 Note:
這一部分一定要保持互動,且連貫問答。 
其實(shí),在聊的過程當(dāng)中,給出一些特定的教學(xué)問題來詢問其怎么解決,比如,如何改善學(xué)員的發(fā)音,如何幫助其擴(kuò)展詞匯,如何幫助沒有自信的學(xué)員提高口語這之類的問題。當(dāng)然,可以問的在具體深入一些。
對于有過幾年教學(xué)經(jīng)歷的人,可以考察到對方是否是真的會教學(xué)。
對于教學(xué)資歷比較豐厚的老師,可以在這里挖出很多好的教學(xué)方法以及對英語教學(xué)的見解,在考察其教資歷的同時,也增長了我們自身的見識。同時,這類老師可能也比較挑剔,也要問清楚他想要接收什么樣的學(xué)生。
   
During this part, keep interactive and consistent. 
Actually, we can give the interviewee some specific teaching questions, like “how to perfect pronunciation”, “how to extend vocabulary”, “how to help those shy students open their mouth”, etc. If necessary, we can ask more details.
For those less experienced teachers, it will show if he is really a good teacher.
For those more experienced teachers, it is a great opportunity for us to get professional ideas on teaching. However, such teachers may be somewhat critical, so we need to pay more attention about their preference.  
 
在簡歷中沒有提到任何教學(xué)經(jīng)歷的應(yīng)聘者,要集中于以下兩點(diǎn):
If the interviewee have few teaching experience, we can focus on the two following aspects:
如果對方不是母語國家的人,可以詢問他是怎么學(xué)習(xí)英語的。

If the candidate is non-native speaker, we can ask something about their own English learning experience. 


覺得自己比較傾向于教什么樣的學(xué)生?知不知道如何去教?
What kind of students do you prefer to teach? Do you know how to teach?  
對于這一問題,應(yīng)聘者可能只會泛泛而談,我們要繼續(xù)詢問下去,給出一些更加具體的教學(xué)問題。如果對方的回答不是我們想要的,我們也可以給到他一些教學(xué)方法上的建議。
Most of interviewees may only have a very general idea, even no idea. We should also give them some specific teaching questions. If their answers are not expected, we can also give them some suggestions on teaching.   
根據(jù)其之前的教育背景和工作背景了解到其擅長的領(lǐng)域,告知有相似背景的學(xué)生可能會介紹給他。
According his education background and prior working experience, we can get his special field. Then we can let him know that the student with similar background may be suitable for him.     
 
 
 
第四部分 申請表
Part Four Application Form
國籍 Nationality
有些是雙國籍的,要問一下它主要生活在哪個國家;非母語國家的,可以問一下是否在英語國家生活過,自己的英語是怎么學(xué)習(xí)的。
For those half-bred or with dual-nationality, we need ask which country he stayed longer. 

For those none-native speakers, we need ask if he had lived in English countries and how he learned English.

聯(lián)系方式 Email and Phone Number

很多外教的書寫都不清楚,如果書寫的不清楚且簡歷中又沒有,就詢問確認(rèn)。

If the character is hard to recognize and they are not in the CV, we need to confirm with the interviewee.  


簽證 Visa
簽證類型及到期日期一定要關(guān)注,如果是短期的旅游簽證,一定要問對方簽證到期了如何處理。

Pay more attention to visa type and its expiration. If it is the short-term Tourism Visa, we need to ask the interviewee what they will do when the visa is due.  


漢語水平 Chinese Level 
所選擇的學(xué)生類型及課程 Teaching Subjects
可以結(jié)合之前的談話,弄清楚應(yīng)聘者擅長教什么,適合教什么,愿意教什么。
時間 Available Time
距離 Distance

價格 Rate 


告知我們的四個等級的工資標(biāo)準(zhǔn)
Present the four rate level in our agency. 
2)提出我們給對方的工資范圍,告知對方我們的理由是什么。
Tell him how much we can pay and explain our reason. 
3) 如果對方不認(rèn)可,價格過高,告訴他這樣的選擇會出現(xiàn)什么后果。
If the price he demands is too high, we tell her what may happen in the future cooperation.
工資領(lǐng)取規(guī)定 The Payment Rules including the frequency of getting payment and the class record.  
 
第五部分 合作規(guī)則
Part Five The Cooperation Rules  
向外教介紹大致的合作流程。表達(dá)要清楚,簡介,明了,流暢,語速適中
Introduce the cooperation process. The expression must be simple, clear, fluent and with moderate speed. 
請外教閱讀管理規(guī)則并簽字

Let the interviewee read rules and regulations carefully and sign.


強(qiáng)調(diào)以下幾點(diǎn):
Emphasize the following points:
1)要及時回復(fù)顧問的電話或郵件;Reply to the phone and email from the consultants.
2)工資領(lǐng)取規(guī)定 The payment rules
 
 
 
第六部分 課時記錄表、教師手冊、學(xué)員手冊
Part Six Class Record Educator’s Book Students’ Book
課時記錄表 Class Record 
1)介紹其作用和使用規(guī)則 Explain why and how to use it.
2)強(qiáng)調(diào)其簽名(客戶中文名字、標(biāo)簽貼)Emphasis on the Chinese signature on the sticker.

3)提醒其背面的出勤規(guī)則 Remind him to read the requirements on attendance.


教師手冊 Educator’s Book

大致介紹其里面所涵蓋的內(nèi)容 Introduce the general contents in the book.


學(xué)生手冊 Students’ Book
大致介紹其里面所涵蓋的內(nèi)容及其作用,希望其認(rèn)真對待
Introduce the general contents and its role. Remind him to take it serious.
 
 
 
第七部分 結(jié)尾
Part Seven  The End
介紹外教顧問進(jìn)來 Lead one or two consultants to come to meet with the candidate. 
拍照 Take photo of the candidate.
給名片,如果缺少簡歷或其他文件,叮囑之后發(fā)送。
Pass the name card. If we don’t have his CV or other required documents, remind him to send us later.
